Jimbu Thakali is named after jimbu, the Himalayan herb that gives Thakali cooking its distinctive flavour. Its founder, Vivek Sherchan, comes from Thak-Khola village in Mustang, and the restaurant's official website says it has served more than 2 million thalis. The Tangal flagship is joined by branches in Jhamsikhel, New Baneshwor and Kalimati. The signature Cheli Jwai Thali and the jimbu-seasoned dal are the plates to order. According to the restaurant's official website, its Nepal branches are open Sunday to Saturday, 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
