Our Core Purpose
For decades, accurate, structured information about Nepal’s heritage sites, academic institutions, medical centers, commercial services, and geographic regions has remained fragmented across outdated blogs, unverified social posts, and paper archives.
Hamro Nepal was established to solve this foundational knowledge deficit. By uniting the factual rigor of an encyclopedia with the real-world utility of a curated local directory, we provide millions of citizens, researchers, travelers, and diaspora members with reliable, verified information.
Independent Fact-Checking
Every article and directory entry undergoes rigorous verification against primary government records, academic gazettes, and on-ground audits.
Create Once, Reuse Everywhere
Institutions, historic monuments, and businesses are stored as single source-of-truth entities, preventing duplicates and ensuring data synchronization.
Open Community Vigilance
Community members, local residents, and scholars can suggest edits, submit authentic reviews, and report outdated facts via public transparency tools.
Our Editorial Architecture
Unlike automated scrape directories, Hamro Nepal combines editorial curation with technological precision:
- Structured Entity Registry: Detailed profiles for colleges, universities, hospitals, restaurants, historic bahals, and public figures with geo-coordinates and verified contact details.
- Curated Rankings & Listicle Guides: Research-backed "Top 10" and "Top 15" guides designed to assist students choosing colleges, patients seeking specialist physicians, and travelers discovering authentic spots.
- Archival History & Cultural Preservations: In-depth documentation of Nepal’s unification, Newari festivals, indigenous traditions, and literary figures.
- Public Revision Audit Trail: Complete revision logs recording every edit, correction, and update made to any article.
