Prof. Dr. Bhupendra Kumar Basnet is a towering figure in internal medicine and gastroenterology in Nepal. Over three decades of public service at the country’s oldest apex medical institution, Bir Hospital, he has trained countless medical specialists and treated tens of thousands of complex digestive and hepatological cases.

Prof. Dr. Basnet specializes in therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, management of acute gastrointestinal bleeding, cirrhosis of the liver, and complex peptic ulcer diseases. His diagnostic acumen is revered nationwide.
