Maharajgunj Medical Campus
Maharajgunj Medical Campus (MMC) is a constituent campus of the Institute of Medicine (IOM), Tribhuvan University, located in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu. The Institute of Medicine was established in 1972, and with the establishment of the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, MMC became the first medical school in Nepal, according to the campus's official site. MMC runs MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing and postgraduate MD and MS programmes, and its students train at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. Admission is through the Medical Education Common Entrance Examination run by the Medical Education Commission.
