Hotel Shanker is a palatial heritage hotel in Lazimpat, Kathmandu, housed in the 19th-century palace of General Jit Shumsher Rana. The palace was converted into a hotel in 1964, and the property now marks more than 60 years of hospitality. Set in 4.4 acres of landscaped grounds close to Narayanhiti Palace Museum, Thamel and Durbar Marg, the hotel has 94 rooms and suites, a swimming pool, a multi-cuisine restaurant, a spa, and banquet and meeting spaces.
