Dakshinkali Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Kali, set in a forested valley south of Kathmandu near the village of Pharping. It is one of Nepal's most important Shakti shrines and draws large crowds of devotees, especially on Saturdays and during Dashain. The temple's setting beside a stream, surrounded by forest, makes it a peaceful day trip from the city.
